PME Whip Check is a simple but vital safety restraint made of braided steel wire with spring-loaded loops or thimbles at each end. When installed correctly across a hose coupling, it acts as a secondary safety measure.

 

Should a primary connection fail or a hose rupture under high pressure, PME Whip Check absorbs and restrains the sudden, violent whipping action of the disconnected hose, preventing injury to personnel and damage to nearby equipment.
