What is the difference about hammer union FIG206 between threaded and butt welded

Hammer unions function as the connection for flexible rubber hoses and hard iron pipelines. The sizes as 2", 3", 4", etc. stand for the standard pipeline diameter.

Speaking about the Figure when you quote or purchase the hammer union, there are 3 or 4 number, like FIG100, FIG206, FIG602, FIG1002 and FIG1502.

The first or first two numbers mean working pressure. FIG206 stands for working pressure 2000 Psi, whick FIG1502 working pressure 15000 Psi. The last two numbers 00, 02, 03 is for the type of surface and surface seal.

For high pressure manifold, FIG1002, FIG1003, and FIG1502 are mostly demanded. And the low pressure application, FIG100 and FIG206 are good option. The connection type of PME hammer unions can be classify by threaded type and butter welded type.
