What sets our seal apart is the combination of a lip-type design and an internal Garter Spring. The lip seal is inherently pressure-energized; as system pressure increases, the lip is pushed against the mating surface, enhancing the seal. This mechanism provides a superior, self-adjusting seal that minimizes fluid flow turbulence and protects the metal-to-metal seating surface of the union.
The addition of the Garter Spring ensures consistent, radial sealing force, even at low pressures or when the elastomer may be subject to minor swelling or shrinkage, leading to extended service life and reduced maintenance frequency.
